‘Come & Sing Evensong’ In A Day
St. John’s of Lattingtown will host a (rescheduled) ‘Come & Sing Evensong’ event on Saturday, October 3, 2026. The musical director is Andrew Sheranian, the music director of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Wellesley, MA, and a regular guest director for national RSCM courses. Registration is from 11:30 am with the program beginning at 12 noon, concluding with Choral Evensong at 4 p.m., led by The Rev’d Molly Jane Layton, Priest in Charge of St. John’s.
Music will include Responses by Margaret Burk, canticles by David Hogan, and Sowerby's anthem "And they came even unto". Registration is open to all teenage and adult singers. Thursday, October 15th. Pre-concert talk at 6:30 pm by St. John's priest-in-charge, Rev'd Molly Jane Layton; organ recital by Ruaraidh F. Sutherland at 7:00 pm, followed by reception in the parish hall. Free admission, with retiring collection.
Friday June 4, 7:30 PM: The South Shore Symphony and Michael Bower, Organist, at St Agnes Cathedral, 29 Quealy Pl, Rockville Centre.
